I went to my first Red Sox game today thanks to former Globe staffer and current Daily Texan advisor Doug Warren. Being in a baseball stadium reminded me of growing up with season tickets to watch the Baltimore Orioles get demolished by whoever they played. In ten years of going to games, I saw them win once. But it was never about winning. It was about family, community, grandma’s corned beef and oreos. Regardless, it was nice being at a game where the score was 10-4 in favor of the home team.
